Overview
A Chef is required to work in a busy golf club kitchen in north Leeds. The successful candidate will be required to work week days and weekends, which can be either morning or day/earlyevening shifts. Assisting with all aspects of a working kitchen, preparing, cooking, cleaning and administrative work is a must. Health & Safety guidelines to be followed at all times. The candidate will need to be able to work in a team and on their own. A minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred. Hours are rota based and quite flexible. Most of the working time is between 9am - 5pm.

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operation during service
- Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency in meal preparation
- Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely serving of meals and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef, incorporating current culinary trends
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments
- A recognised culinary qualification or equivalent experience is preferred but not essential
- Passion for innovation in cuisine and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
