Overview
We are looking for a talented, Level 4 qualified semi-permanent makeup or microblading technician to join our team. You'll deliver microblading, ombré/powder brow, and other SPM treatments to a high standard (Lip blush / eyeliner), working within our clinic's protocols, hygiene standards, and client care approach across potentially 3 sites.
Duties
- Deliver microblading, ombré/combination brow, lip blush, and/or eyeliner treatments to a consistently high technical and artistic standard
- Carry out thorough client consultations, including suitability assessment, patch testing, contraindication checks, and informed consent
- Design brow/lip/eye shapes tailored to individual client features, symmetry, and skin tone
- Deliver and document aftercare advice, and support clients through the healing and touch-up process
- Build strong relationships through excellent customer service, addressing questions and concerns with clear communication.
- Represent the business's standards in client communication, presentation, and professionalism
- Keep detailed records of each procedure, including client consent forms, treatment notes, and follow-up schedules.
- Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and product innovations through ongoing training and professional development.
- Contribute before/after images (with client consent) for the portfolio and social channels
Experience
- Level 4 (VTCT/ITEC or equivalent) qualification in Microblading and/or Semi-Permanent Makeup — essential
- Proven experience in semi-permanent makeup or microblading techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively explain procedures and build rapport with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup is a plus.
- Prior experience working with diverse skin types and facial features enhances your versatility as a technician.
- Sound understanding of skin types, Fitzpatrick scale, colour theory, and pigment selection
- Understanding of infection control and safe working practices in line with local authority licensing.
- Reliable, well-presented, and able to manage your own diary and client relationships professionally
- Additional qualifications in lash lift, brow lamination, or other beauty treatments are a bonus but not essential
