We are seeking a Night Operations Supervisor to join us at Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa a beautiful destination Hotel and Resort, located in the serene setting of Rutland Water.
You will be responsible for the safe, secure and efficient operation of the Hotel during the night, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and operational readiness for the following day whilst maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures. You will act as the senior operational representative on duty, providing leadership to the night team and ensuring all departments are prepared for the next day's business. The Night Operations Supervisor reports to the Guest Services Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Guest Services: Conduct a comprehensive handover with the Late Shift Receptionist, process reservations accurately, prepare the following day's arrivals, review all guest registration cards, monitor and respond to emails and complete a thorough arrivals check.
Financial & Night Audits: Complete the end of day banking and the night audit in accordance with company procedures. Notify the early shift Receptionist of any issues. Process virtual credit card payments for reservations and resolve any outstanding balances and prepare guest invoices. Verify all staff bookings. Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports.
Operations: Ensure Reception and public areas remain presentable throughout the night and the transport buggies are fully charged available for operational use. Maintain accurate Duty Manager and Reception diaries and record any significant incidents. Provide food and beverage out of hours service where required. Oversea the planning, preparation and completion of all Conference and Banqueting room set ups throughout the night.
Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Night team including night Porters and Receptionists.
Security: Carry out full security lock-down procedures across the Resort.
Communication & Handover: Provide a comprehensive handover to the early shift Receptionist.
Requirements:
- Ideally previous experience of working night shifts within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and emergencies.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and systems.
