We are seeking a dedicated and personable individual to join our team as our newest barber. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hair styling and barbering, and the ability to work effectively within a team. 2 years prior experience in barbering is necessary but extra training will be provided, this position is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within the beauty and grooming industry.
Duties
- Deliver professional hair styling and barbering services tailored to client preferences
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and offer expert advice on styles and treatments
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in hair styling and barbering techniques
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests
Qualifications
- Proven experience or strong interest in hair styling and barbering is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with clients
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism and attentiveness
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Organised with good time management skills to handle appointments efficiently
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry trends
- Previous experience in barbering or hair styling is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided
