Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring the safety and durability of roofing structures. Prior experience in roofing or construction is preferred, along with a commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Installing new roofs using a range of materials including tiles, slates, felt, and metal sheets
- Repairing or replacing damaged roofing components to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity
- Inspecting roofs for damage or potential issues and advising on necessary repairs
- Measuring roof dimensions accurately to determine material requirements
- Operating roofing tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Assisting with the mobilisation and demobilisation of materials on-site
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar construction role is advantageous
- Knowledge of different roofing materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Valid relevant qualifications such as CSCS card or equivalent are desirable but not essential
- A proactive approach to safety procedures and risk management
Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
