Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and creative chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious dishes, be able to adapt and learn new skills and be able to work well in a team and independently. You will be working alongside long standing staff members who have experience and who know the home and residents well. As a part of the Kitchen Staff, you will be responsible for preparing food to the Springfield Care Home standards and specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and assisting with cleaning duties as needed. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed. You must ensure that all food is stored and handled correctly. You will also be required to complete the kitchen assistant role as the position required is for both roles.
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of kitchen experience is desirable.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work well on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to provide modified diets and have an understanding in this area.
