Duties
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify mechanical or electronic faults.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and operational requirements.
- Repair or replace damaged parts, perform heavy lifting as needed, and ensure all work adheres to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed service records, update repair logs, and communicate findings clearly with team members or customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role with a strong mechanical background.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software for troubleshooting complex vehicle systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques for repairs.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and repair standards across different makes and models.
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
- Prior experience working with equipment repair or in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
