The Role
We are looking to employ an energetic, and enthusiastic individual/s who genuinely cares about delivering the best possible experience for customers. You will form part of a friendly, motivated team providing a unique front of house and hospitality experience by paying attention to detail and to the needs of people. Interacting directly with customers, providing an excellent standard of customer service. You will, as part of a team and as an individual, help create a positive, enjoyable service from the moment the customer arrives in the Café/Bar area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- You personally add value in creating a welcoming environment for all customers in the Café/Bar and indeed CentreStage.
- Help to create a happy atmosphere within the Café/Bar.
- Greet guests warmly, providing prompt, courteous service on every customer experience.
- Preparation of food and drinks according to CentreStage standards and the requests of the managers directing at that time.
- Always scan the Café/Bar environment looking for points of action i.e. further service that we can be given to add value to the customers experience.
- Working at pace on behalf of customers and on action requests quickly, ensuring guests always receive the highest standard of customer service.
- Taking orders and serve customers with efficiency, making suggestions to support managers in delivering the best service to our customers.
- Handle cash, stock, and equipment in a secure and professional manner, highlighting to management where improvements could be made.
- You will be multi-skilled and flexible to work across CentreStage FOH and Café/Bar.
- You will ensure you are well-organised and can work in a systematic way.
- Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across all departments throughout CentreStage using effective communication skills.
- Assist with setting up and closing procedures within the Café/Bar.
- Assist with cashing up procedures as required and directed.
- Using your upselling skills enhance the Café/Bar sales & when appropriate promote shows, performances, and events.
- Work with and support volunteers, trainees, and apprentices when on shift. Giving them positive support and encouragement.
- CentreStage operates as a 7 day a week operation and the working week will be scheduled around 5 of these days ie if FT, pro rata for PT staff covering the 7 days
- Other duties as assigned.
