Ramscapes is a Midlands based landscaping services business, undertaking both garden and grounds maintenance as well as a variety of hard landscaping projects.
We are now seeking to recruit an experienced (ASSISTANT or) LANDSCAPE GARDENER located in Derby
Your general duties will include the routine maintenance of gardens and grounds (grass cutting, shrub, border and hard landscape maintenance). Our customers range from housing associations to retirement schemes.
The ideal candidate will
- Hold a full driving licence (preferred but not essential)
- Hold some professional horticultural qualifications would be preferrable but not required – or be experienced in knowing the maintenance regime for plants and shrubs.
- Have at least 12 months’ work experience in garden and grounds maintenance
- Ideally hold a PA1/6 for the application of herbicides
- Have good team working and customer communication skills.
In addition to maintenance, you may be required to assist in hard landscaping works.
For the majority of time, you would be working alongside a senior gardener (who will also be the main custodian of the vehicle). It is therefore important that applicants are based in the Derby area, to reduce their own travel time.
Start at first site: 8.15 am and finish on last site 4.30 pm (45 minute total breaks) - April to Sept and 8.30 am to 4.00 pm (45 minute total breaks), and we will contribute towards travel towards the first site and leaving the last site each day.
Travel will be predominantly be within the East Midlands but occasional travel into the West Midlands may be required.
