Job Title: Mortgage Account Manager
Salary: £27,000 Basic + circa 10% Bonus
Location: Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire
About our clients and the role:
Swarm Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a growing and well-established financial services business based in Godmanchester, which has built a strong reputation for providing personal, professional mortgage and financial advice to clients across the region.
The business places a strong emphasis on building long-term relationships with its clients, providing advice that is personal, straightforward and focused on helping people achieve their financial goals. The team supports clients across mortgages, protection and wider financial planning, with a strong focus on delivering an excellent client experience.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mortgage Account Manager to take responsibility for maintaining and developing relationships with the firm's existing client base.
This is a highly proactive, telephone-based role. Rather than waiting for clients to get in touch, you will be responsible for proactively contacting existing clients, carrying out mortgage reviews, identifying opportunities and booking appointments into the Advisers' diaries. You will become an important point of contact for the existing client base, building your own relationships and ensuring clients remain engaged with the business throughout their mortgage journey.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing mortgage experience who wants to develop their career, but the business is also open to candidates from strong customer service or telephone-based backgrounds who are confident speaking to clients and have the drive to build a career within mortgages.
One of the major attractions of the role is the progression available. As you develop your knowledge and experience, there are clear opportunities to progress either towards becoming a Mortgage Adviser or into a more technical Mortgage Paraplanner position.

- Basic Salary: £27,000
- Typical Bonus: Around 10% annually

- Confident and comfortable speaking to clients over the telephone
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and commercially minded approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage appointments and follow-ups effectively
- Genuine interest in developing a long-term career within the mortgage industry
