Our client is a well-established residential developer with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality homes across South Wales. Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of developments, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Cardiff.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple housing developments from procurement through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans.
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating contract terms.
- Preparing tender documentation and analysing subcontractor quotations.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
- Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Producing monthly cost reports and forecasts.
- Managing variations, valuations and final accounts.
- Working closely with the site, technical and buying teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential housebuilding sector.
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Experience managing multiple developments simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of JCT contracts.
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Full UK driving licence.
