Overview
Trosnant Residential Care Home is looking for a reliable, caring and compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our team in Ruthin.
This position is for Sunday nights only, working one 12-hour shift per week from 8:00pm to 8:00am.
As a Night Care Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our residents remain safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night. You will provide person-centred care while promoting residents' dignity, independence and individual choices.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night.
- Support residents with personal care, continence needs, repositioning and other individual requirements.
- Complete regular wellbeing and safety checks in accordance with residents' care plans.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to call bells and residents requiring assistance.
- Support residents who may be unsettled or require reassurance during the night.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Accurately record all care provided using our Log my Care digital care system.
- Report and document any changes in a resident's health, behaviour or wellbeing.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and contact senior staff or healthcare professionals when required.
- Maintain residents' dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Complete appropriate light domestic duties to help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
- Provide a clear and accurate handover to the day staff at the end of the shift.
Experience & Skills
Previous experience within a residential care setting is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training and support will be provided.

- Works well as part of a small and supportive care team.
