Job Overview:
RT McEwan are currently seeking a skilled, Distance HGV, Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver, the position will be based out of Inverkeilor, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating an articulated truck, loading and unloading various types of cargo, transporting the cargo to various areas in the UK and Ireland.
Duties:
- Safely drive and operate an artic lorry to transport goods to/from assigned locations
- Load and unload cargo following safety procedures
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform routine daily vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections
Experience:
- 1 year experience as a HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver
- Valid driving license
- Valid CPC Card, valid digital card.
- Ability to handle physical work including loading and unloading cargo
- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented approach
Hours:
- Minimum 40 Monday - Friday (Overtime as required). Weekend work will be required from time to time.
