Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen and Bar Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic sports club house environment, supporting both kitchen operations and bar service. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised, and committed to delivering excellent customer experiences. Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant or bar settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This paid position is suitable for individuals eager to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support the bar team by serving drinks efficiently and courteously to customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas throughout shifts
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during service periods
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Provide friendly and professional service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly
- Support team members during busy periods, contributing to a positive working environment
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as inventory checks and order organisation
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Ability to serve customers with professionalism and courtesy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for providing excellent customer service
