We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our Housing Services team, supporting the Island HomeFinder Choice Based Lettings scheme. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong attention to detail, and wants to play an important role in ensuring residents can access housing services fairly and effectively.
In this varied role, you'll be the first point of contact for many customers, responding to enquiries from applicants, members of the public, colleagues and partner organisations. You'll assess and process housing applications, maintain accurate records, and apply the Island HomeFinder Allocation Policy to ensure households receive the appropriate level of support.
Working closely with colleagues across Housing Services, you'll help identify applicants who may require additional support, referring cases to specialist teams such as Homelessness Prevention and Accommodation Services where appropriate.
We're looking for someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards of customer service. In return, you'll be part of a supportive team where ongoing training and development are encouraged, giving you the opportunity to build your knowledge of housing legislation, policy and best practice while making a positive difference to the lives of Island residents.
For further information or an informal discussion, please contact Lauren Smith on 01983 821000 ext. 5851
