We are looking for a Scheme Manager to undertake the running of 3 care schemes all in Blackburn as follows.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Extra Care Scheme Manager to oversee and coordinate three care schemes within a portfolio. Situated nearby, the three care schemes have a team of carers and residents that live semi independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the care staff, ensuring high standards of resident care as they need it, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in assisted living, nursing, or senior care to lead a compassionate team and make a meaningful difference in residents' lives.
Duties
- Lead and supervise care staff to deliver personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Coordinate and monitor daily operations within the care schemes, ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Develop, review, and update care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.
- Provide leadership and support to staff through regular supervision, training, and performance appraisals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to care home management.
- Foster a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence for residents.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
The role is mainly officed based at one of the schemes, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional scope to work outside of these hours when the business requires.
Experienced Required:
- Minimum one year as a Care Manager, Scheme Manager, Registered Manager- Essential.
- Driver with access to own vehicle- Preferred
- Homecare, supported living and or extra care experience essential.
