ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Scenic Co-ordinator is a central role within our Scenic Department, ensuring the smooth day to-day operation of both the workshop and on-site scenic teams. Working closely with the Head of Scenic, Project Managers and Workshop Team, you will coordinate materials, crew, schedules and administration to keep projects moving efficiently from concept through to installation.

No previous scenic experience is essential, we’re looking for someone with outstanding organisational skills, a proactive mindset and the ability to learn quickly. An artistic background would help this candidate succeed.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Scenic Department.
- Ensure materials, crew, resources and systems are organised to enable efficient projectdelivery.
- Provide administrative support to the workshop and project management teams.
- Maintain accurate departmental systems, records and schedules.
- Act as the communication hub between Scenic and other departments across the business
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Crew & Resource Coordination
- Coordinate scenic crew and local crew for workshop and on-site installations
- Assist with scheduling labour and workshop resources
- Support the planning of workshop workloads alongside project deadlines
- Coordinate the Scenic team's activities within the company production calendar
Procurement & Materials
- Order materials for scenic builds
- Source alternative materials when required to meet budgets, lead times or design requirements.
- Research new suppliers and innovative products
- Manage incoming material samples and maintain the department's sample library
- Support stock control and ensure materials are available when required
Administration
- Provide administrative support across the Scenic Department
- Raise purchase orders and process invoices
- Maintain accurate stock systems and departmental records
- Ensure project documentation is organised and up to date
- Assist with filing, documentation and workshop administration
Systems & Software
- Maintain and manage departmental software systems
- Support continuous improvement of departmental processes
- Assist the Production Director with system implementation and ongoing system support
- Help ensure data across project management systems remains accurate and current
Communication
- Act as the central point of communication within the Scenic Department
- Liaise with Design, Production, Operations and Logistics teams to ensure information flows efficiently.
- Coordinate material sampling requests, quotations and project updates
- Support cross-department collaboration throughout the lifecycle of each project

Location: Strood, Kent
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

- Previous experience within scenic production, events, construction or manufacturing
- Knowledge of scenic materials and production methods
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel or drive when required
RESOURCES AND TRAINING:
This role provides support to the Scenic Department, including Head of Scenic, Project Managers and Workshop team, as well as the Production Director who oversees the Scenic operation.
