Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant coffee shop team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing a variety of coffee and beverage options, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for our customers. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop barista skills within a dynamic and supportive team.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and other refreshments.
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately, and issue receipts.
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, syrups, and ingredients to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer queries, and promote special offers or menu items.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
