Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product information and recommendations.
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick and efficient service without compromising quality.
- Communicate clearly with customers in English and Spanish (if bilingual), providing excellent phone etiquette for inquiries or follow-up questions.
- Support store organization through inventory management, stock replenishment, and maintaining organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Multilingual skills, with proficiency in English and Spanish preferred; strong communication skills are essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and giving correct change.
- Excellent organizational skills to keep the checkout area tidy and manage stock efficiently.
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple customers during peak hours smoothly.
- Demonstrated phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via digital communication channels.
- Ability to upsell products naturally by understanding customer needs and offering suitable solutions.
- Previous retail experience or familiarity with merchandising is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
