Support Worker – Care at Home
Trust-Care are looking for caring, reliable and committed Support Workers to join our team supporting an individual in their own home in the Slateford area of Edinburgh.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers looking for regular, ongoing hours within a supportive and rewarding care package.
About the role
You will provide person-centred support to an individual with a range of care and support needs, helping them to live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible in their own home.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred care and support
- Supporting with daily living activities
- Promoting independence, choice and dignity
- Supporting with personal care where required
- Assisting with medication in line with training and care plans
- Supporting with household tasks and routines
- Communicating effectively with the individual, family and wider care team
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and Trust-Care procedures
- Providing companionship and helping the individual enjoy their day-to-day life

Shifts
We have regular ongoing shifts available, with a mixture of shift patterns available. It is a 24 hour per day package with regular long days and sleepovers.
This role would suit someone looking to build a consistent working pattern and become part of an established support team.

Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous care/support experience is desirable
- A caring and professional approach
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
