Join Our Friendly Team!
We're looking for a Graphic Designer / Artworker to join our friendly, busy print company.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. Around 90% of your role will involve artwork and graphic design, but you'll also become an important part of our small team by helping customers and seeing jobs through from concept to print.
You'll be working alongside two experienced colleagues in a relaxed, supportive environment where everyone helps each other out.
What You'll Be Doing
- Creating artwork for a wide range of customers and local businesses.
- Producing everything from business cards, leaflets and brochures through to banners, signs and exhibition graphics.
- Preparing artwork ready for both digital and large format printing.
- Speaking with customers in person, over the phone and by email.
- Providing quotations using our pricing system (full training provided).
- Looking after your own customer accounts from enquiry through to invoicing.
- Learning to operate our Ricoh digital production press (full training provided).
- Preparing jobs for our large format printers using our established workflows and templates.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally:
- Have experience using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Have good artwork skills and an eye for detail.
- Be organised and able to manage several jobs at once.
- Enjoy dealing with customers and providing excellent service.
- Be friendly, reliable and enjoy working as part of a small team.
- Be willing to learn new skills and take pride in your work.
Print industry experience is an advantage but not essential. If you've got the right attitude and a good understanding of design software, we'll teach you the rest.
What We Offer
- Full-time permanent position.
- Competitive salary (depending on experience).
- Workplace pension.
- 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays).
- Full training on our digital presses and print production equipment.
- A friendly, relaxed working environment.
- A varied role with plenty of customer interaction.
- The opportunity to become an important part of a small, well-established local business.
If you're looking for a long-term role where your work is appreciated, you'll fit in well with us.
Please apply with your CV and, if possible, a portfolio or examples of your recent work.
