The Bricklayer role:
We are looking for a dedicated bricklayer who takes pride in delivering high‑quality work and exceptional service. Within this role you will be able to provide a professional, quality of craftsmanship and customer orientated service to all internal and external customers.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects whilst contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. Being an electrician might seem like a male dominated career, but here at Berneslai Homes, we relish the idea of balancing out the gender split. That’s why, in these roles, we’re just as interested in hearing from talented and ambitious female Electricians as well as their male counterparts. Key duties and responsibilities of our Bricklayer:
- To build or rebuild boundary walls, including curved and circular work.
- To excavate and concrete foundations.
- Excavate to and locate and repair drains to within adopted sewer or renewal of internal drainage.
- Build and rebuild brick, concrete, or PVC inspection chambers within parameters set.
- To carry out the necessary preparation and repair work to external paths, drives and kitchen floors as necessary.
- To replace lintels, reveals and sills and where appropriate remove windows.

What we’re looking for in our Bricklayer:
- NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying.
- Previous experience of carrying out plastering work to a high standard on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects.
- Current driving licence and the ability to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the post.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
