Tamara House Care Home is looking to recruit a hardworking, experienced and skilled Maintenance Person to join the maintenance team. The position will be based at Tamara House Care Home, Torpoint but will also include helping out with maintenance at other homes that are part of the group should the need arise.
Responsibilities
· Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work.
· Ensure that all critical systems and services such as drainage, water, lighting, heating, fire, and related alarm systems are functioning appropriately.
· Keeping the grounds and gardens looking neat and tidy.
· Conduct regular audits and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and well-functioning home.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, residents and management.
· Collaborate with the manager to address any maintenance-related concerns.
· Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Skills:
· Proven experience as a Maintenance Man, preferably in a similar setting.
· Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good communication skills
· Qualified in a trade would be beneficial but is not essential.
· Full driving licence

Maintenance person required. 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with ability to cover any emergency call-outs with the other maintenance team members within the Group.
