Chef Assistant – Full Time
Location: The Old Bookbinders, Jericho, Oxford
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Chef Assistant to join our busy, well-established pub in Oxford, known for its high-quality food and friendly atmosphere.
Hours: 35–45 hours per week (full time)
Start: Immediate
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced kitchen, working as part of a supportive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Supporting daily kitchen operations
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
- Stock control and rotation
- Adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is essential
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
- Flexible to work evenings, Fridays and Saturdays
- Eligible to work in the UK
