We have an exciting opportunity for a School Catering Assistant based at a Primary School in Thornbury.
The role is to support the Catering Manager in preparing and serving fresh food in accordance with Coombs Catering standards, ensuring a high-quality food service is always provided, with excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience of working in a busy school kitchen, be flexible in their approach and self-motivated within a team environment and live within reasonable travelling distance to the school.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Setting up and cleaning the dining hall,
- Serving pupils during lunch service,
- Working as part of the team to maintain a clean kitchen,
- Washing up after service and maintaining a clean wash up area,
- Delivering excellent customer service,
- Assisting in catering for various allergies and special diets.
Full training will be given, you will be provided with a uniform and the appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Working hours: 9.30am - 1.30pm.
Working days: Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
