Female Complex Care Support Worker – Merley
Two Saturday vacancies available
- Day shift: One Saturday a month, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Night shift: One Saturday a month, 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
Are you looking for a genuinely rewarding role where you can make a real difference – without committing to full-time hours?
We’re seeking a kind, reliable, and upbeat female Support Worker to join the small team supporting a vibrant young woman in Merley. Our client is happy, easy-going, and loves getting out and about. She is quite straightforward to look after – she simply needs tube feeding, personal care and some medication. She has no epilepsy and no behavioural issues. Overnight she requires monitoring and repositioning, as well as company if she is awake.
What the role looks like
Day shifts
You’ll provide high-quality care (personal care, tube feeding and medication administration) while accompanying her on outings in a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Think park visits, bowling, cinema trips, shopping and socialising – bringing energy, creativity and a positive attitude to her day.
Night shifts
You’ll provide overnight support including monitoring, repositioning and company if she is awake, along with any necessary personal care, tube feeding or medication.
You can apply for either the day shift, the night shift, or both. Additional shifts are sometimes available to cover holidays and sickness.
Ideal candidate
- Female applicants only (due to the personal nature of care tasks)
- Proven complex care experience, including tube feeding
- Full UK driving licence and happy to drive a WAV (the location is not accessible by public transport) – required for day shifts
- Compassionate, reliable and fun-loving, with a genuine interest in supporting someone to live well
- Able to commit to a consistent Saturday schedule (day and/or night), with flexibility for occasional extra shifts
Why people love working with us
- Real impact – You’ll help enhance our client’s quality of life and independence every shift
- Excellent support – Full training provided (including tube-feeding refresher) plus constant on-site backup from the team
- Flexible hours that fit around life – core commitment is just one Saturday a month (day or night). Optional extras available for holiday and sickness cover
- Fully employed position (no self-employed or cash-in-hand arrangements)
Next steps
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an informal interview in Broadstone, meet the client, and complete weekday shadowing and training before starting.
If you’re experienced in complex care, enjoy meaningful work, and want a role that offers both purpose and flexibility, we’d love to hear from you.
