Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, where whilst undergoing training, they will be paid 70% of the top of Band 4 and on completion of training will then move on to Band 4 scale.

The Role
This post will be to undertake pharmaceutical technical tasks within a designated area, on a rotational basis, using Standard Operating Procedures laid down by the relevant Senior Pharmacy Technician to maintain a high quality pharmaceutical service to NHS Lanarkshire hospitals.
In this key role, you will:

To dispense prescriptions, including in-patient, out-patient, controlled drug, clinical trials and clozapine prescription in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures as directed by the Senior Pharmacy Technician.

To undertake the final accuracy check of dose banded products (ready to use aseptic products purchased from external suppliers) that have been dispensed by others

To undertake the final accuracy check of prescriptions/Indents that have been dispensed by others

To retrieve, reconcile and record information about an individual's medicines
What You'll Bring:
-
Diploma/SQA National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent to enable registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Undertake revalidation required by General Pharmaceutical Council and maintain a portfolio of personal and professional development.
A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
