Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor food quality during preparation, adjusting as needed for taste and presentation
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant setting is preferred, but not essential
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and proper handling procedures
- Prior experience working in fast-paced environments with excellent multitasking skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Serving experience is a plus, demonstrating excellent customer service skills in a food service context
