Gin and Juice is our flagship gin-led cocktail bar in Cardiff's Castle Arcade, with a serious gin range, considered cocktails and a polished but lively feel. A few doors away, its sister bar Rum and Fizz brings the same standards with a rum-led list and a livelier late feel. One Assistant Manager runs across both, the constant that keeps two busy bars moving as one team.
Location: Gin & Juice and Rum & Fizz, Castle Arcade, Cardiff, CF10 1BU
Pay: £15-16 per hour, your choice of a flexible zero-hours arrangement or an annual salary based on a 45-hour week
Hours: 40-45 hours a week, including Friday and Saturday nights
Experience: Previous bar supervisory or management experience required
What you’ll be doing
- Running shifts end to end, opening, service and close, leading from the front
- Floating between Gin & Juice and Rum & Fizz on Friday and Saturday nights to keep both services smooth
- Maintaining stock and placing orders so neither bar ever runs dry
- Working closely with the General Manager to keep standards high at all times
- Looking after guests personally and resolving issues on the spot
- General office hours during the week: admin, rotas and the running of the business behind the bar
