We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at White Horse Cleaning Services. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation within a school environment, ensuring the facilities are safe and welcoming for staff and students.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
- Follow cleaning schedules and instructions to ensure all areas meet organisational and regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and consumables in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and hygienic environment throughout the premises.
- Act as a key holder for the site, ensuring the building is secured at the end of your shift.
- Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly to management.
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHH.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred.
- Must be a key holder for the premises.
Shift Pattern:
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Hours: 3.5 hours per day
- Timing: Flexible evening start times (available from 15:30 onwards)
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Yarm TS15 0JR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
