Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Cook to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and replenishment of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in line with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
- Support the team during busy periods, including serving customers when required
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a café, restaurant, or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks as needed, including serving customers when required
- Previous experience in meal preparation, culinary techniques, or kitchen operations is highly desirable
Pay: £13.25-£13.50 per hour
