We are seeking a reliable, hard working Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated team in our specialist dementia care home. This is a fast paced and busy role but rewarding as you are supporting the daily nutritional needs of our residents and contributing to a warm, homely environment this role will include every other weekend.
About the Role
You will work as part of our friendly kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared, presented, and served to a high standard. Your role will include:
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Supporting the Cook/Chef during meal service
- Maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Washing up and ensuring equipment is stored safely
- Following food safety and infection control procedures
- Helping to create a positive dining experience for residents
What We’re Looking For

- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Experience in a care home or catering environment is helpful but not essential — full training is provided
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
