What You'll Be Doing
As a Construction Labourer, you’ll assist with the installation of wastewater systems and drainage solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Following instructions from the Site Foreman, Line Manager, and customers to meet project requirements.
- Communicating effectively with the Site Foreman and Line Manager on progress and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Adhering to company method statements and procedures to ensure high-quality work.
- Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
- Ensure site cleanliness and organisation, including maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and stock levels.
- Report vehicle defects and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required by the Line Manager.
- Work safely, ensuring the welfare of yourself and others, in line with company safety procedures and protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK with a clean driving licence.
- Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in ground works within the sewage or construction industry.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills—verbal and written.
- Multi-tasking and time management skills to handle fast-paced projects.
- Flexibility to meet project deadlines and adapt to changing demands.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CSCS Card
- CPCS – Forward Tipping Dumper
- Streetworks Qualification
- Confined Space Entry Qualification
- Abrasive Wheel Qualification
- Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification
- 360 Excavator (above and below 10 tonne).
- Attributes:
- A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Basic IT proficiency for managing tasks electronically.
- Ability to work methodically and accurately under pressure.
Working Environment
Based on-site, you will work closely with a dedicated installation team, contributing to a variety of sewage treatment and pumping station projects across East Anglia. Confidence in lone working is essential, alongside a commitment to maintaining high standards and safety.
