We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment, assisting with daily routines, and supporting the development of each individual. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people.
- Support with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and recreational pursuits.
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Assist with organising educational and recreational activities to promote social development.
- Maintain accurate records of daily routines, behaviour, and progress in line with organisational policies.
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings using company vehicles where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each young person.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the residential environment at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence with experience in driving safely and responsibly.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and patience.
