Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to support our team with kitchen and bathroom renovation projects. This role involves assisting tradespeople, preparing job sites, completing basic building tasks, and carrying out decorating work. The ideal candidate will be proactive, physically fit, and able to work safely and efficiently in residential environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist kitchen and bathroom fitters with day‑to‑day tasks on renovation projects.
- Prepare and clean job sites, including removing old fixtures, disposing of waste, and ensuring the workspace is tidy.
- Carry out basic labouring tasks such as lifting, carrying materials, mixing compounds, and general site organisation.
- Support with installation tasks under supervision (e.g., holding units, measuring, basic tool use).
- Professionally and effectively clean and treat black mould (training to be provided)
- Perform decorating duties including painting, sanding, filling, priming, and finishing surfaces.
- Assist with minor repairs and making‑good work following installations.
- Help with basic carpentry, plumbing prep work, or tiling support as required (training provided where necessary).
- Ensure all tools and equipment are set up, used safely, and stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude in customers' homes.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in labouring, construction, or property maintenance.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good attention to detail, especially for decorating tasks.
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
Desirable
- Experience with renovation work, especially kitchens or bathrooms.
- Decorating/painting experience.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
- Driving licence.
