Our company is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive leader to build our therapeutic teams across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
As a Registered Manager you will be in a position that requires you to:
- Enable staff and colleagues to perform at their best and maintain the Home, by setting direction, providing structure, and providing needed information, as well as leading by example.
- Create rotas which best fits young people’s needs and which allow proper handovers between shifts.
- Manage all administration issues in relation to the Home and the provision of accurate and complete weekly management information reports for Operations.
- Ensure budgets are managed effectively and the use of finances is properly monitored.
- Ensure reporting and recording system in place to comply with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations.
- Consistently reviews performance against targets to assess gaps and amends plans accordingly to ensure targets achieved.
- Create a climate in which others feel included and thrive.
- Actively encourages positive staff morale and support the team to reflect on the ups and downs from shift to shift and recognise that there are positives to be recognised and how their behaviours affect Young Person(s).
- Ensure each Young Person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
- Allocate a Key Worker for each Young Person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan.
- Take responsibility for progressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of Young People.
- Ensure all new Staff receive a proper induction to the Home in line with company policy.
- Ensure effective reflective supervisions are completed to help Staff progress in their role, and increased during 6 months of probation.
- Being on call rota as and when required, and working and supporting other Homes within the Company as and when required.
- Address issues in relation to conduct and competence of Staff.
- Ensure adherence to company policy in relation to probationary periods.
- Promote personal and professional development through the appropriate delegation of duties and responsibilities.
- Leading by example and being visual and having good relationships with both Young People and Staff to show strong leadership skills.
- Ensures Staff work within the Homes policies, procedures and Ofsted Quality Standard requirements.
- Generates a passion for excellence and positive “can do” approach in response to challenges or setbacks.
- Actively promotes a reflective practice culture throughout the organisation.
So far it might sound like all fun and games and for a large part it is essentially is! But you will also be required to do the boring bits which include the paperwork that comes with all looked after young people.

Essential Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a Children's Residential Setting in the last 5 years with 1 year of supervisory experience
- A clear Enhanced DBS check (please let us know if you are on the update service or require a full DBS check)
- Teamworking
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to commit to changing and demanding shifts and on call support
- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent or willing to work towards this)
Desirable Requirements:
- Emotional and social intelligence
- Competent IT skills
- Can do attitude
Basic salary - £50,000 to £60,000 with OTE bonus of up to £18,000 per annum.

Pay: £50,000.00-£78,000.00 per year
