As a result of sustained growth and ambitious future projections, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Noise Control Engineer to join our Technical (Sales) Division. The role is based at our head office in Hertford, however, we operate a hybrid working policy following a qualifying period.
Role Overview:
In this versatile and client-facing role, you will collaborate closely with customers, engineers, and the wider sales team to deliver tailored noise and vibration control solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
· Client Liaison: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical requirements, and providing expert advice on noise control solutions.
· Quotations & Proposals: Preparing detailed technical quotations and project proposals based on client specifications and site assessments.
· Noise Testing & Surveys: Conducting on-site noise measurements, surveys, and assessments to inform product recommendations and system design.
· Research & Development: Actively contributing to our ongoing R&D programme, assisting in the development and refinement of new products and technologies.
· Sales Team Support: Providing technical guidance and support to our external sales team, ensuring seamless project delivery from initial enquiry to completion.
· Project Coordination: Collaborating with internal departments, including design, manufacturing, and installation teams, to ensure projects meet technical, budgetary, and timeline requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
We’re looking for a skilled, motivated, and technically proficient individual with:
· A Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control from the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
· Corporate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA).
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the noise and vibration control, acoustic consultancy, or related engineering industries.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
· You take initiative, stay focused under pressure and are a problem solver who thrives on delivering results.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using acoustic modelling software (desirable but not essential).
· A valid UK driving license (essential).
