Must have NVQ (or equivalent) Level 3 or above in Childcare
Willing to undertake a full DBS check
Must hold a paediatric first aid certificate or willing to under take training
Experience preferred but not essential
Willing to work 40 hours per week
Responsible To: Nursery Manager & Deputy Manager
Accountable To: Nursery Directors, Nursery Manager & Deputy Manager
Responsible For: Nursery Nurses, Nursery Assistants, Nursery Trainees, Students and Volunteers
Liaising With: Ofsted Inspectors, Health & Safety Inspectors, Doctors, Health Visitors, other Childcare Professionals and external agencies
- Key Purpose of Job**
- To work as part of the Nursery team to provide high quality care and education for children aged 0-5.
- To ensure the EYFS safeguarding and welfare requirements and learning and development requirements are adhered to at all times.
- To provide a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities.
- To ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
- To manage a team effectively.
- To fulfil legal and statutory requirements to supervise staff on a daily basis.
- To agree and set team goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets.
- To monitor and assess the quality of provision within your room, ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained. *
- to be a responsible key holder and open and close the nursery when required
- To handle payments from existing and new parents
