Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable class 2 Tipper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tippers, with experience in delivery driving and ideally mechanical knowledge. This role involves transporting sand & gravels, limestones, muck and others to building sites and general customers.
Duties
- Operate and drive lorries to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturdays (paid extra)
Requirements
- Class 2 Licence.
- Drivers CPC.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- A strong commitment to safety practices while operating vehicles on public roads.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £33,000.00 per year
