We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of roofing systems and related trades, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as tiles slates lead work chimney repair work flat roof epdm and torch on
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Work safely at heights using appropriate safety equipment and procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of work sites, including setting up scaffolding and protective coverings.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and client specifications.
- Perform related tasks such as carpentry, masonry, or minor plumbing as required on-site.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation or repair processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or electrical work is preferred.
- Familiarity with a range of tools including hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, welding, or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to work at heights safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Strong organisational skills with an organised approach to completing tasks on time.
- Previous experience in fabrication or working with specialised materials is beneficial but not mandatory.
