Redwood Childcare is growing, and we’re looking for experienced, compassionate Senior Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated teams.

Your role:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll lead shifts, mentor staff, and create a calm, safe, and structured environment for children to flourish. You’ll support their emotional, social, and behavioural development while helping your team deliver high-quality, child-centred care.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and inspire shifts as a role model for the team
- Support young people with emotional, social, and behavioural needs
- Promote trauma-informed, therapeutic care
- Mentor and guide Residential Support Workers
- Contribute to care planning, recording, and safeguarding
- Foster a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported
Who we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) — or willing to complete
- Experience leading shifts in a children’s residential setting
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care
- Compassionate, reflective, and emotionally resilient
- Flexible and able to work shifts, including sleep-ins
- Passionate about making a long-lasting difference in young people’s lives
What we offer:
- Hourly rate: £13.97 – £14.47 depending on experience
- £65 per sleep-in
