About Us
Milton Dental Practice is a well-established dental practice based in the village of Milton under Wychwood, (12mins away from Chipping Norton) known for delivering high-quality patient care in a warm, professional environment. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented and personable professional to take on a hybrid role combining regulatory compliance and treatment coordination.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on organisation, and wants to play a central role in both the smooth running of the practice and the patient journey.
The Role
As Treatment Coordinator /Compliance Lead , you'll be the backbone of our practice's regulatory standards while also guiding patients through their treatment journey from consultation to completion. You'll split your time between ensuring the practice meets CQC and GDC requirements, and being the friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for patients considering or undergoing treatment. This is a flexible, hands-on role — as a qualified dental nurse, you'll also be expected to step in chairside or on reception whenever the practice needs extra support.
Key Responsibilities
Treatment Coordination
- Guide patients through proposed treatment plans, costs, and finance options
- Act as the key liaison between clinicians and patients, ensuring clarity and confidence at every stage
- Manage patient enquiries, consultations, and follow-ups for complex or high-value treatments
- Support case acceptance through clear communication and excellent customer service
- Coordinate appointment scheduling for multi-stage treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation in line with compliance standards
Clinical & Reception Support
- Provide chairside dental nursing support as and when needed, in line with GDC scope of practice
- Step in on reception to cover appointment bookings, patient check-in/check-out, and phone enquiries during busy periods, staff absence, or leave
- Help ensure smooth day-to-day running of the practice by flexibly supporting both clinical and front-of-house team
- Compliance
- Maintain and update the practice's compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards and GDC (General Dental Council) requirements
- Manage and update policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Oversee infection control audits, radiation protection (IRMER), and health & safety records
- Maintain accurate staff training records, DBS checks, and CPD logs
- Prepare the practice for CQC inspections and manage any resulting action plans
- Ensure GDPR compliance and patient data handling standards are upheld
- Liaise with external bodies (CQC, NHS England/ICB, indemnity providers) as required
- Conduct internal audits and lead on continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Qualified dental nurse (GDC registered) with proven reception experience is essential — you'll be expected to support chairside and on the front desk when needed
- Previous experience in a UK dental setting is essential
- Prior experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or practice management role is highly desirable
- Experience as a Treatment Coordinator or in a patient-facing sales/coordination role is a strong advantage
- Sound understanding of CQC, GDC, IRMER, and GDPR requirements (or a strong willingness to learn quickly)
- Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Confident, warm communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with dental software (e.g. SOE, Dentally, R4, or similar)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
