Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and storage areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies under supervision.
- Support the cooking team by organizing ingredients and ensuring all necessary items are readily available for service.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Restock supplies and ensure storage areas are organized and accessible.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and food safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key.
