Overview
Green Bay Services and Pantside Primary School is seeking reliable and dedicated Part-Time School Cleaners to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school's premises are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Duties
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas as per the cleaning schedule.
- Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or damages promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure minimal disruption during cleaning activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential.
- Good attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to school policies regarding hygiene and safety.
