Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in assisted living and senior care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a dedicated team of care professionals. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, including those requiring specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in nursing or home care settings, and a thorough understanding of care plans, medication administration, and supervising staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operation of the care home, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Supervise, mentor, and support care staff to promote a positive working environment centred on compassionate, person-centred care.
- Oversee medication administration procedures in accordance with legal guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure the delivery of high standards of nursing and senior care across all departments.
- Monitor quality assurance processes to maintain accreditation standards and improve service delivery.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate resident care effectively.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, and training schedules to ensure optimal coverage at all times.
- Uphold health and safety policies within the home to safeguard residents and staff alike.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within a care home or homecare environment specialising in assisted living or nursing.
- Extensive knowledge of nursing practices, senior care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and medication administration.
- Demonstrable supervising experience with strong leadership qualities.
- Familiarity with legal regulations governing adult social care in the UK.
- Compassionate approach with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents’ families, staff members, and healthcare professionals.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent are desirable but not essential. This role is integral to providing exceptional standards of person-centred care within a supportive environment where residents’ dignity and independence are prioritised.

Pay: £33,000.00-£39,500.00 per year
