Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, possess good organisational skills, and have a positive attitude. Previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, offering valuable industry experience.
Duties
- Serve drinks efficiently and accurately to customers in a timely manner
- Take orders and provide recommendations on beverages and menu items
- Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of each shift
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote repeat business
- Monitor guest behaviour to ensure safety and responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
- Strong serving skills with an understanding of responsible alcohol service
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in hospitality and creating positive guest experiences
