Peak time porter required.
We are looking for a kitchen porter/assistant to join our team full time this will include a mix of weekdays and busy weekend shifts
Shifts start at 9am and finish between 4/5pm each day. ensuring a great work life balance.
Candidates should be driven and focused and be able to handle long periods of busy service. You will always be working as part of a team and should be able to communicate with the team across both of our kitchens.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Washing Up
- Cleaning dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Operating and maintaining the dishwasher.
- Keeping the Kitchen Clean
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Wiping down surfaces and cleaning spills immediately.
- Emptying bins and disposing of rubbish safely.
- Basic Food Preparation
- Prepping ingredients (e.g. peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients) under chef supervision.
- Assisting with plating or garnishing, if required.
- Maintaining Hygiene Standards
- Following health and safety procedures.
- Making sure the kitchen complies with hygiene regulations.
- Wearing the correct uniform/PPE.
- Stock Management Support
- Unpacking deliveries and putting stock away.
- Informing chefs or managers when stock is low.
- Checking use-by dates and rotating stock (FIFO).
- Supporting the Kitchen Team
- Running errands or fetching ingredients as needed.
- Assisting chefs during busy periods.
- Taking on ad-hoc tasks to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
- End-of-Shift Duties
- Deep cleaning tasks (e.g., cleaning ovens, fridges).
- Making sure everything is clean and ready for the next day.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
