Role Overview
The Assistant Branch General Manager supports the Branch General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of service, efficiency, and profitability. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage teams, drive business performance, and uphold the company’s values. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in staff development, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while stepping in to lead the branch when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Support & Efficiency
Assist in managing daily branch operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
Support the implementation of processes to improve productivity and customer experience.
Monitor inventory, supply chain, and stock levels to optimise resource management.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
2. Leadership & Team Development
Support the General Manager in leading, training, and motivating staff.
Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and assist in career development initiatives.
Foster a positive and inclusive work culture, ensuring fairness and respect.
Assist with recruitment, scheduling, and staffing to maintain operational efficiency.
3. Customer Experience & Brand Representation
Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring outstanding service and satisfaction.
Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly.
Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency in service and product offerings.
Assist in developing local marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
4. Financial & Business Performance
Monitor financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
Support the General Manager in implementing strategies to drive sales and business growth.
Assist in budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
5. Community Engagement & Local Partnerships
Build strong relationships with local suppliers, businesses, and community groups.
Support events, promotions, and partnerships that align with the company’s vision.
Act as a brand ambassador, fostering loyalty and engagement within the community.
6. Sustainability & Ethical Practices
Uphold the company’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
Implement environmentally friendly initiatives to reduce waste and promote ethical sourcing.
Ensure responsible resource management and promote sustainable choices.

Key Skills & Experience
Experience in assistant management, preferably in retail, hospitality, or service industries.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
