Job Overview
Managing operational metrics and direct supervision of employees in a high quality and technical manufacturing environment

Responsibilities
- Achieving daily KPI’s for throughput, cost and efficiency within the department
- Lead H&S investigations, perform risk assessments and safety audits
- Be able to identify cost saving opportunities and project manage these to completioN.
- Coaching of individuals to improve quality and throughput performance
- Lead continuous improvement through the championing of 6S and lean manufacturing methods
- Develop team leader network to help with communication and engagement on safety, quality and performance topics
- Applying the Theory of Constraints to manage manufacturing throughput
- Ensure adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not restricted to: SOX, Code of Conduct, Health and Safety, quality assurance, etc.
- Undertake any other duties required to drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing process
Skills
- Proven experience of supervision within a fast paced manufacturing facility
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to get the best out of a team
- Good understanding of key manufacturing processes and matrices (TOC, 6S, variable cost control etc.)
- Experience in delivering Continuous Improvements/Cost Reduction/Cultural Change
- Strong IT Skills with experience of using Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
- A formal qualification (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline (HNC or higher)

Working Hours
- Monday - Tuesday 7:30am - 16:30pm
- Wednesday - Thursday 7:30am - 16:15pm
- Friday 7:30am - 12:00pm
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
