We’re looking for an experienced Barista / Bar Staff member to join our busy front-of-house team at Locanda de Gusti in Edinburgh.
This is a varied role and much more than just making great coffee! You’ll be an important part of the restaurant service and will work closely with the rest of our FOH team.
Main duties include:
- Preparing coffees and hot drinks to a high standard
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Taking drinks orders
- Managing and maintaining the bar area
- Operating the till and processing payments
- Presenting bills and taking payments from guests
- Greeting guests on arrival and seating them
- Preparing and serving desserts
- Supporting the waiting team during busy services
- Keeping the bar and service areas clean, organised and fully stocked
- Providing friendly, professional and attentive customer service
What we’re looking for:
- Previous barista and/or restaurant experience is preferred
- Confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable multitasking and taking initiative
- Full-time availability preferred
- Evening and weekend availability is essential
We’re a small, busy Italian restaurant with a close-knit team, so we’re looking for someone who is happy to get involved in all aspects of service rather than sticking to just one station.
